1 lb. ground round
1 onion, minced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
2 (10 ¾ oz.) cans beef consomme
¼ cup dehydrated onion
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
¼ cup ketchup
8 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
hamburger dill pickle slices
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground round. Drain. Add onion and jalapeno and saute for 3
minutes. Add consomme, dehydrated onion and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes or until
reduced by half. Add mustard and ketchup. Stir in Velveeta cheese until melted. The mixture should be sloppy joe
consistency. If not, continue reducing until desired consistency is reached.
Spoon onto slider buns and top with pickle slices.
One-bites - sloppy joe style on little slider rolls. Growing up, whenever the topic of Whities came up, you would
inevitably declare how many you could eat - sort of a gluttonous badge of honor. I had a tiny little Aunt who
